Welcome to Nourished Soul, where I share my personal journey of healing through food and how it led me to create sample meal plans that cater to your unique needs. Over the years, I've explored countless cleanses, elimination diets, and healing protocols, each challenging me to find recipes my entire family would love. After all, who wants to cook 2-3 different dinners in one night? Not me!

Can you imagine omitting garlic and onions for an entire year? I did, and I found creative ways to infuse flavor into food in a gut-friendly way. Or how about eating the same mung bean soup for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for a month straight? I’ve done that too—and I’ve perfected that recipe (and found ways to mix it up using a range of vegetables). And yes, I ate vegan for three years while still meeting my protein macros. My husband even started looking forward to tofu nights after a few kitchen mishaps! I’ve also experienced the benefits of a 3-day water fast, which I highly recommend for a deep reset.

After being diagnosed with IBS in 2017 and being told by doctors that it was "all in my head," I wasn’t convinced. IBS, I learned, is often a catch-all for symptoms that haven’t been explained by other tests. This diagnosis sparked my curiosity and led me to consult with naturopaths, functional medicine doctors, integrative practitioners, and more. Through these alternative resources, my own research, rigorous meal planning, and unwavering dedication, I successfully treated myself for SIBO, candida, H. Pylori, and mold.

This journey inspired me to become an Integrative Nutrition Coach, giving me unique first-hand experience in making major lifestyle shifts—like changing the diet for an entire family. The sample meal plans below are examples of how you can eat for a week while still meeting your protein needs.
