Hi, I’m Amy Koss

I am a Sacramento-based board certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, writer and mom. With a Master’s in Journalism from Northwestern University and years as a Certified Sommelier in fine dining, I’ve mastered multitasking, logistics, and preparing meals for my toughest critics (my children).

My wellness journey began in 2018 when pregnancy-induced migraines led me to adopt a gluten- and dairy-free lifestyle, teaching me the power of commitment to health. My journey has been filled with many twists and turns, including detoxing from parasites, candida, H-Pylori, and SIBO, and following a Low FODMAP diet for a year. If there's a quirky health trend, I’ve probably tried it (and have a hilarious story to tell!).

Driven by my personal health experiences, I became a board-certified Integrative Nutrition Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, specializing in gut health in 2022. In 2024, I traveled to Japan to study Reiki in its country of origin, now infusing this mindfulness into my wellness coaching. I also became a certified Kambo practitioner in 2024, offering this service to help clients incorporate a holistic mind-body-soul approach to their wellness.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me reading with my kids, tending to my garden, cooking plant-fueled meals, packing for our next travel adventure, hiking mountains, practicing yoga and barre, or trying the latest quirky healing modalities.

I specialize in gut health, mom’s wellness, motivating kids to eat their veggies, navigating food sensitivities, and reducing sugar intake. My mission? To help you uncover your ‘why’—the real reasons behind your symptoms or wellness goals. Symptoms are the body's way of telling us that it is unbalanced.
